How can I get a Visa for Egypt

Ways to Obtain your Egypt Visa There are three ways you can obtain your visa for Egypt: Visa on Arrival: Available at most international airports in Egypt for eligible nationalities. e-Visa (Online Application): Apply online prior to your trip through Egypt's official e-visa portal. Consulate Visa: Apply in person or by mail at your nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate before travelling. Note: Not all nationalities are eligible for an Egypt visa on arrival or an online e-Visa; in such cases, they must apply at an Egyptian embassy. 1. Applying for a Visa-on-Arrival Citizens of around 70 countries and territories can obtain a visitor visa on arrival at Egypt’s international airports. Join the queue at a bank kiosk before the immigration desk. Show your passport (with at least two blank pages) and complete a visa application form. You may need to show additional travel documents, such as proof of onward travel. Once approved, a visa sticker will be affixed to your passport, allowing entry for up to 30 days. Fee: $25 (cash only). Note: Queues can be long, especially December–February. Denial of visa requires amending or repurchasing flights. 2. Applying for an Online E-Visa Eligible travelers can apply via the Egypt e-Visa Portal . Set up an account, apply for the visa, follow the instructions, pay the fee. Processing usually takes less than 7 days, sometimes same day. 3. Applying for a Consulate Visa For those ineligible for Visa-on-Arrival or e-Visa, or who prefer in-person application. Find your nearest Egyptian consulate or embassy. Submit required documents: completed application form, valid passport (≥6 months), passport photos, proof of travel, and visa fee. Some consulates require appointments. Processing: 5–10 business days, faster options may be available for a fee. Receive visa in person or by mail. This ensures you receive an official visa before traveling and is reliable for longer stays or travelers not eligible for other visa type

Are tours to Egypt Safe ?

How much money should I bring with me ?

It is difficult to determine an exact amount of money to spend on a trip to Egypt. However, we recommend that you budget for around 25 to 50 USD per person per day (at a minimum). Your extra expenses will include items like drinks, gifts, tips, excluded entrance fees, and laundry. While many establishments accept bank cards and select foreign currencies, it is strongly recommended that you exchange your money for Egyptian pounds and carry ample cash and small change when sightseeing.

Tipping, or "baksheesh," is a customary and appreciated way to show gratitude for services in Egypt. Tips are often given to hotel staff, drivers, guides, restaurant staff, and other service workers. While tipping is not mandatory, it is generally expected for good service. In restaurants, a tip of around 10-15% of the bill is standard. For hotel staff, small tips for services like luggage handling or housekeeping are common. Tour guides and drivers often receive a tip based on the duration and quality of the service. Always carry small bills in Egyptian pounds for tipping, as this makes it easier to offer tips in various situations.

Day 1Cairo, Pyramids & Grand Museum

Start your morning with a hotel pick-up and head straight to one of Egypt’s most iconic landmarks—the Giza Plateau. With your expert guide, explore the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus, and take in panoramic views of the entire complex. Snap unforgettable photos beside the Great Sphinx and stroll through the Valley Temple, soaking up the mystery and magnificence of ancient Egypt. After a memorable morning, you’ll enjoy an Egyptian style lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), where ancient history meets modern design. Inside the Grand Hall, enjoy an introduction to the museum’s mission, architecture, and heritage displays. Participate in optional interactive experiences and, depending on availability, access select exhibit areas on a guided walk that showcases the museum’s vast potential as the world’s largest archaeological institution. Day 2Bahariya Oasis

Your journey begins in the vibrant city of Cairo. As the morning sun rises, we set off towards the serene Bahariya Oasis. Upon arrival, a delicious lunch awaits you. Post-lunch, prepare to be mesmerized by the natural wonders of Bahariya. We’ll guide you through lush Date Gardens, past the tranquil Salty Lake, and up to the majestic Dunes. The Pyramid Mountain and the English Mountain are next on our list, offering breathtaking views. Overnight in Bahariya Hotel Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner only ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 3Black and White Deserts

Our journey begins with a wholesome breakfast at the Hotel then discover the mystical Black Desert, visiting the awe-inspiring El-Marssos Mountain, Our next stop is the quaint village of El-Hez, home to a refreshing cold spring. From there, we journey to Crystal Mountain and the Agabat area, marveling at the stunning landscapes. After a lunch break at the Green Spring, a relic from Roman times, we head towards the new White Desert. Here, you'll witness some of the world’s most spectacular limestone formations. As the day draws to a close, we set up camp. Here, under the starlit sky, we share stories and laughter over a hearty dinner before retiring for the night. Day 4Travel to Dakhla Oasis

Our day journey begins with a wholesome breakfast at the camp, start moving in long day traveling to Dakhla Oasis. Overnight in Dakhla Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner only ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 5Dakhla & Kharga Oasis

Enjoy breakfast before embarking on an excellent adventure excursion to the Roman Temple of Deir El Hagar and Muzzawaka. After that, you’ll have a spectacular tour of the Islamic village of Al Qasr, which is 35 kilometers from Mut and has Ayubid mosque ruins. After that, travel to the Kharga Oasis. Kharga Oases. Lunch will be provided en route, after which you will begin your tour of the early Christian cemetery El Bagawat Cemetery before continuing to the Temple of Hibis and Nadora (Outside Visiting). At the conclusion of your trip, transfer to Luxor the following morning. Overnight in Kharga Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 6Luxor – West & East Bank Exploration

Upon your arrival in Luxor and on to the cruise ship for embarkation. Enjoy an afternoon visit to the Karnak Temples and Luxor Temple, transfer back to the cruise for dinner on board, and evening entertainment at the Lounge bar area. Overnight in Luxor Meals: Dinner only ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 7Luxor Free Morning + Return to Cairo

5:00 AM – 8:00 AM: Optional Hot Air Balloon ride. Return to the cruise for breakfast onboard, followed by a visit to the West Bank of the Nile. Explore the Valley of Kings, the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir El-Bahari, and the iconic Colossi of Memnon. After sightseeing, return to the cruise for lunch on board as the ship sails toward Edfu, passing through Esna Lock. Enjoy evening entertainment in the lounge bar, followed by dinner on board. Overnight in Edfu Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner only ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 8Sail from Edfu ‒ Kom Ombo ‒ Aswan

Enjoy breakfast on board, followed by a visit to the Temple of Edfu dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Afterward, sail to Kom Ombo and enjoy lunch on board. Upon arrival, explore the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek and the falcon god Horus. Continue sailing to Aswan with evening entertainment in the lounge bar and dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan. Meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner only ‒ Drinks are Extra.
Day 9Aswan & Nubian Village

Start the day with breakfast on board before visiting some of Aswan’s highlights, including the majestic Temple of Philae, and the impressive High Dam. After the tour, return to the cruise for lunch on board. Enjoy a free afternoon, or opt for an optional 3-hour excursion to visit a Nubian Village. In the evening, unwind with entertainment in the lounge bar, followed by dinner on board. Overnight in Aswan.
Day 10Abu Simbel, Disembarkation & Return Flight to Cairo

Enjoy breakfast on board and check out from your cabin. Relax on the sundeck until your departure or add on an optional early morning bus tour to visit Abu Simbel (tour starts at 3:30 AM). A breakfast box will be provided for the tour. After the visit, return to the cruise to collect your luggage, and then transfer to the airport, train station, or hotel based on your departure plans.
